A convite da Associação 25 de Abril participei numa comissão com alguns " capitães de Abril" numa comissão que apoiou a CM de Oeiras nas comemorações do 45º aniversário da revolução dos cravos, que inclui uma estátua a erigir mais tarde e a inauguração de uma lápide em homenagem aos presos políticos no jardim em frente da prisão (Reduto Norte) no dia 26 de Abril de 1974, exactamente 45 anos depois da libertação.
Deixo aqui algumas fotografias da homenagem aos que tanto lutaram e sofreram para usufruirmos hoje da Liberdade que gozamos.

Na 2ª foto estou eu com Mário Pinto, o então capitão e agora coronel reformado, comandante da força de paraquedistas que libertou os presos em 26 de Abril de 1974.
Nas outras fotos, se as ampliarem com um clique, reconhecerão vários outros "capitães de Abril" nomeadamente o Otelo.
Depois dos discursos da Ministra da Justiça, de Manuel Alegre e de Isaltino Morais, fez-se a abertura simbólica do grande portão de ferro da prisão e dele saíram não os ex-presos mas um lindo e vibrante grupo de miúdas e miúdos, alunos dos primeiros anos de escolaridade, alguns deles netos de ex-presos. Correram para nós e ofereceram-nos um saco com os versos da lápide que se vê na foto onde estou com Mário Pinto e dentro um cravo vermelho e uma folha decorada com uma pintura e uns versos da autoria de cada um. A mim uma jovenzinha ofereceu-me a "obra de arte" que vai reproduzida aqui em baixo que no verso tem escrito EBS. Bruno 3º ano Maria L Leonor.

Today, Portugal is the Biggest Racist country that i have ever lived in. I feared for my life there and i consider myself lucky that my family got out alive! I have never lived in such poverty (Sopas dos Pobres everyday) 40% unemployment rate and 60% of the population earn less than $932 USD per month, and that’s considered Middle Class here! Within the European Union it is the worst of the worst place to live in.
The bottom line is the bulk of the People in the poor country of Portugal exist in a brainless comma that is fed by Ignorance, anti-Spanish hate, and severe Racism of pretty much everybody that isn’t Portuguese! And, Portugal started the Global Slave Trade in 1441 so it is definitely NOT a safe place for Blacks!!
